Apple iPhone users are a sought-after group. Most are big spenders and like to show it.
This Consumer Tech Index reveals some surprises about the people you see sporting the latest and greatest from Apple.
For example, Apple iPhone users are more than four times as likely (index 425) than the online population to use an Apple desktop PC such as an iMac. (Yes, a desktop). That shows their buying power. They also index above 400 in shopping at an Apple retail store. (Our surveys did not ask them how long they stood in line or if they slept in line in front of the store…maybe our next wave)
Apple iPhone users are well above-average (index 200 and above) in shopping only at Apple’s retail outlet (not online), owning an Apple notebook (such as Macbook, Macbook Pro, or Macbook Air), and using an Apple as their primary PC.
Asian-Americans index higher among Apple iPhone users, as do males age 25-34 and users under age 5.
Apple iPhone users are distinctive in the way they use their Smartphones as well.
